Sound test

A sound test is a feature found in many video games that allows the player to listen to the game’s audio outside of normal game play. Typically presented as a menu option, a sound test provides access to background music, sound effects, and sometimes voice clips used throughout the game. While primarily intended for debugging during development, sound tests became a popular bonus feature in many console and arcade titles.
